Fitur CMS itu harus ?

Fitur CMS (Content Management System) itu minimal mempunyai sebagai berikut :

* The ability to publish in the future. For example, adding content and setting the publish date hours, days, or weeks in advance.

* A feature that allows content to be displayed for a certain time span and then moved into an archive section or removed from the site.

* Easy to use. This probably doesn't need saying but I've been asking myself what "easy to use" means in this context. For one thing I think it means that training required is minimal, and that in a lot of ways adding content is much like creating a new Word document. I think it's a lot like using Movable Type for blogging. The interface is pretty intuitive and after a short training session most people can use it without much trouble.

* It should be fairly easy to add files, images, and related content. For example, if we want to add audio files, a .PDF document, or other type of file associated with content on the site then uploading and adding that should be easy to do.

* There should be a preview function and the preview should provide a display of exactly what the content on the page is going to look like. Believe it or not I've seen CMS software that doesn't do this.

* The CMS has to produce code that meets standards.

Give yourself a goal

Do yourself a favor and give yourself a goal. There is nothing that can give you the same positive, satisfying feeling as deciding to do something and then getting it done.

Give yourself a goal, and make it one that's truly meaningful to you. Experience the joy of creating exactly what you would like to have.

When you give yourself a goal, you give your actions a purpose. With a real and meaningful purpose behind them, those actions become vastly more effective.

When you are following a meaningful goal, it feels so right that once the goal is reached you'll want to have another. So do yourself an even bigger favor and get in the habit of creating and achieving goals for yourself on a regular basis.

The more goals you reach, the more enthusiastic you'll be to devise new ones. Even when you start with just a tiny, modest goal, you'll find yourself easily and naturally progressing to bigger, more ambitious ones.

Give yourself a goal, and the benefits will go far beyond you. You'll be making your world a more valuable and fulfilling place to live.

The Corporate Weblog Manifesto

Thinking of doing a weblog about your product or your company? Here's my ideas of things to consider before you start.

Source Document

1) Tell the truth. The whole truth. Nothing but the truth. If your competitor has a product that's better than yours, link to it. You might as well. We'll find it anyway.

2) Post fast on good news or bad. Someone say something bad about your product? Link to it -- before the second or third site does -- and answer its claims as best you can. Same if something good comes out about you. It's all about building long-term trust. The trick to building trust is to show up! If people are saying things about your product and you don't answer them, that distrust builds. Plus, if people are saying good things about your product, why not help Google find those pages as well?

3) Use a human voice. Don't get corporate lawyers and PR professionals to cleanse your speech. We can tell, believe me. Plus, you'll be too slow. If you're the last one to post, the joke is on you!

4) Make sure you support the latest software/web/human standards. If you don't know what the W3C is, find out. If you don't know what RSS feeds are, find out. If you don't know what weblogs.com is, find out. If you don't know how Google works, find out.

Space to live

When you proclaim and promote your own bitterness, you do far more harm to yourself than anyone else could ever do to you. When you blame others for all your troubles, you give them control of your life.

When you expect and demand to be taken care of, you give up the freedom and responsibility that account for so much meaning in life. When you become obsessed with revenge and retribution for an injury you have suffered, you prolong and expand that injury far beyond its original scope.

By contrast, the more of your life you accept responsibility for, the more power you have to control your own destiny. The more quickly and completely you can forgive, the sooner you can get back up and get moving forward again.

Do you truly want to live a life of meaning, fulfillment and joy? Then you must set out each day to create that meaning, to build that fulfillment, and to live that joy through the vehicle of your own life.

No other person can provide you with what really matters, and no one can take it away. Because what really matters is what you choose to freely and lovingly give to life.

Bitterness, anger, blame and retribution will bring nothing of value into your life. Let go of their false promises, and give yourself space to truly and magnificently live.

Keponakan Pentas Tamborin

Hari sabtu kemarin, aku mengantarkan kedua keponakanku Nikita (Nicky) dan Rebecca (Becky) untuk mengikuti Acara BPK PA GPIB Gloria Bekasi (Ibadah & Perayaan HUT BPK PA). Kita berangkat dan sampai digereja jam 15.00 WIB. Dari PTM kita naik becak kemudian kita naik koasi dan turun dekat Kolam Renang JakaPermai (nah disitu kita lewat jalan potong ke Gereja).

Kedua keponakan ku itu menjadi pengisi acara, yaitu bermain tamborin. Saya menemani mereka dari jam 15.00 sampai selesai kira2x jam 20.00 WIB. Selamat buat Becky & Nicky. Nah waktu mereka mau di"dandanin", Nikita menolak untuk di-"make up", kalau Rebecca tenang2x saja dia. Cuma waktu pasang bandananya kelonggaran. Ha3x. Lucu-lucu keponakanku ini.

Imagine this

Think of all the places you could go if you didn't have to first ask permission from your own ego. Consider how much energy you would have if you were free from every anxiety.

Such a life is possible, and it is closer than you may think. In fact, the very act of visualizing it begins to make it happen.

Because your ego, your attitude, your anxieties, your frustrations, angers and regrets are all creatures of your own making. And you can choose just exactly how they will be.

Visualize a life of freedom, fulfillment, meaning and richness. Hold on to that vision and you will begin to make it be.

Typetester

The Typetester is an online application for comparison of the fonts for the screen. It's primary role is to make web designer's life easier. As the new fonts are bundled into operating systems, the list of the common fonts will be updated.

Typetester's code structure is XHTML, styled with the finest CSS and driven by the JavaScript for manipulating DOM structures. Typetester will not work without JavaScript enabled.

A good time

Now is a good time to sincerely show others, with your words, your actions, your life, how much you care. Now is a good time to take the best of who you can be and use it to create real, lasting value for your world.

Now is a good time to pause and reflect on who you are and on the unique gifts that you have to give. Now is a good time to experience the real joy that comes from making a positive difference.

What makes now such a good time for all these things? Because it is here and it is yours to fully live, now.

Rest In Peace : Pdt. Naomi Leihitu - Tuange

Telah meninggal dunia, pada hari ini di Balikpapan : Pdt. Naomi Lehitu - Tuange setelah melahirkan anak pertamanya dengan operasi caesar. Saya turut berduka cita untuk itu. Semoga keluarga yang di tinggalkan diberikan kekuatan oleh YESUS KRISTUS.

Terakhir berjumpa dengan k'Omi (panggilan akrab di pelayanan GPIB Gloria bekasi, beliau dahulu mantan Vikaris di Gloria) di GPIB Maranatha Balikpapan - tahun lalu bulan agustus 2004 - ketika saya berada di Balikpapan dalam rangka MG 2.

Untuk pelayan BPK PT GPIB Gloria, beliau terakhir memimpin Ibadah Penutupan Pembinaan Pelayan Teruna GPIB Gloria Bekasi (juni 2004). Saya juga dulu sering ngobrol sama beliau. Dia selalu bilang "TUHAN YESUS akan membuat semua nya indah pada waktuNya!".

Selamat jalan k'Omi - Selamat jalan rekan sepelayanan kami.

Quality of your thoughts

With your thoughts you can open your eyes. What you see in front of you is a function of the thoughts you nourish inside of you.

Have you ever thought about a person whom you haven't heard from in a long time, and then that person suddenly appears again in your life? It may seem magical or supernatural but it's not.

For your thoughts did not magically cause that person to appear. Instead, your thoughts opened you up to connect with that person who was there all the time.

There are vast expanses of reality that you have never even considered. Your thoughts can open you up to experience all sorts of valuable and wondrous things.

Life becomes available to you to the extent that your thoughts allow. And the quality of life that you experience is very closely connected to the quality of your thoughts.

Your thoughts are the filter through which you connect with the world where you live. With your thoughts you can choose to experience the best of life's countless possibilities.

Face Life

Fear is often much more destructive than that which is feared. Anxiety can often be far more harmful than those things about which you are anxious.

Avoiding effort can be more difficult and time-consuming than the effort itself. Worrying about a negative situation is usually more prolonged and painful than experiencing the situation itself.

Life is best when you face it directly. Your efforts are far more effective when they don't have to push through layers of denial, avoidance and anxiety.

When something must be said, stand up and say it. When something needs to be done, get busy and do it.

It can be tempting to put tasks off until later, or to think that problems will just go away, or to hope that some magical occurrence will fulfill your desires. Yet the truth is that the real fulfillment in life comes from putting all of yourself into the living of it.

So go ahead and face that fear, make that effort, move forward into new territory and fully live the grand possibilities with which you're blessed. Boldly face life, and you'll find it to be better than you ever imagined.

Give Life To Your Dreams

How many times have you told yourself that you can't? How many times have you put your most treasured dreams aside and sought refuge in flimsy excuses?

You deserve much better. Your dreams are yours for a very good reason and they deserve to be given life.

Yes, you do have those dreams, though you may have chosen to hide them even from yourself. And yes, you can make them real.

Stop being so busy posing for the world and take a moment to remember the things that are truly important to you. Those things point, clearly and directly, to your most valuable dreams.

Is it frivolous and selfish to follow those dreams? No, what is truly selfish would be to keep them forever hidden from life.

There is so very much you have to give by being the best of who you are. And the more of it you give, the more real fulfillment you will know.

Give life to your dreams. And give your dreams to life.

FGDExpo2005 Wristband

Kemarin pada saat hari terakhir FGDExpo2005, saya baru bisa mengunjungi pameran tersebut. Sebelum pulang ke rumah, saya mampir di booth Souvenir nya. Dan saya membeli Charity Wristband (Gelang Amal) untuk Aceh yang di keluarkan oleh FGDExpo. Saya hanya membeli yang warna merah dan hijau/biru/merah mixed. Ada juga yang warna hitam.

Di warna merah ada tulisan : David Carson For Aceh / FGDExpo2005
Di warna hijau/biru/merah (mixed color) tulisannya : Light Of Hope / FGDExpo2005

Berarti ini adalah Gelang Amal ke-5 yang beredar di Indonesia. Kayaknya gelang ini tidak dijual bebas deh, hanya selama di Pameran. Tapi mudah-mudahan penyelengarannya mau menjual ke publik setelah kegiatan itu.

The Way Out

The way out of disappointment is through effort. The way out of worry and anxiety is through effort.

The way to respond to unfairness, injustice, tragedy and misfortune is with effort. The way to get beyond the obstacles standing in your path is with effort.

It is truly amazing what some good, sustained effort can do. It will make you wonder why you didn't get started sooner.

When you are discouraged, make a little positive effort and your attitude will remarkably improve. When you are weary, make a little positive effort and it will energize your spirit.

Sitting around worrying, complaining, being angry and frustrated will do nothing to improve the situation. Start to take effort, though, and you enter a whole new positive, productive frame of mind.

With effort, there is a very real and attainable connection between where you are and where you would like to be. Make the effort, and work your way out into the bright light of achievement.

Leave Doubt Behind

Doubt is nothing but a thought you choose to have. Just as easily as you choose to have doubt, you can choose to let it go.

Doubt has no power other than the power you give it. Yet the power you give it can be enormous.

When you focus on doubt, your problems and limitations become greatly multiplied. When you give yourself to doubt, your resources and abilities lose much of their value.

So why would you want to hold yourself back in this way? There's really not even a single good reason.

As soon as you sense that doubt is pulling you down, make the decision to leave it behind. Remember that each doubt is your own creation, and once you stop sustaining it, it will no longer be.

Choose to walk away from doubt. And you'll set yourself free to achieve great things.

Shaun Inman meluncurkan aplikasi statistik untuk website. Telah di ujicoba oleh beberapa blogger terkenal, dan kehadirannya di telah ditunggu-tunggu; finally diluncurkan juga. Sayangnya aplikasi ini tidak gratis dan kalau mau mengunakannya 1 domain membayar licenced 30 US$
