It is good to laugh when you find something funny. It is good to cry when you are sad.

You are a beautiful, unique living person, with hopes and dreams, feelings, values, opinions, thoughts and visions. It is good to let all that shine through.

People sometimes think they can appear sophisticated by denying who they truly are. Yet real sophistication and value comes from fully expressing your most genuine sentiments and truths in the way you live your life.

You'll never find fulfillment by trying to be someone you're not. You'll never find fulfillment by following someone else's dreams.

Life is always best when you live each moment as the real person you are. Though it can be painful and difficult at times, it is far better to live the genuine truth of your own being than to run and hide from it.

Go ahead and feel the joy, the pain, and fully live the ups and downs and twists and turns of the rich and wonderful life with which you're blessed. Be the real, genuine you, and there's no limit to the fulfillment you can know.

Keong Emas

Hari minggu kemarin, saya dan kedua keponakan saya Niky & Becky nonton di Theater IMAX Keong Emas TMII (Taman Mini Indonesia Indah).

Film yang kami tonton adalah : Force of Nature & T-Rex. Tadinya mo nonton 1 film saja, karena kedua keponakanku kesenengan nonton film layar lebar dan seru (kata mereka) jadinya kita lanjutkan dengan nonton film berikutnya. Harga tiketnya per-orang Rp. 20.000 (kalau mau duduk di Balkon harganya per-orang Rp. 40.000).

Kita kemarin ngobrol-ngobrol santai, ternyata hampir dua tahun kita bisa bersahabat di dalam lingkup Departemen Litbang GPIB.

Dua Minggu Yang Lalu

Tanggal 11 November 2005 (jumat 2 minggu yang lalu), adalah saat di mana "last day" di AVIGRA. I'm leaving. Hampir 6 tahun aku bergabung di AVIGRA communication jakarta sebagai Web/Multimedia Designer. Tempat dimana saya "berkembang" di dunia New Media Design. Belajar dari "design guru", Pak Ardian Elkana, Pak Utuy Marlie, Pak Susilo dan beberapa rekan "pekerja kreatif".

Memang baru hari ini saya bisa menulis tentang "Leaving AVIGRA", bersama dengan postingan ini saya mo mengucapkan terima kasih bagi rekans saya di Divisi AVIN (Avigra Interactive) : Pak Daniel Hendrawan, Bang Linggom Tambunan, Bung Frans Rahmanto dan my best friend Bung Yordan Wattimena (Q-PR). Action in place of excuses

It is easy to make up excuses to tell to yourself. For you can choose to believe anything you say to yourself.
But what do those excuses accomplish? Where do they take you?

It's easy to use your thinking to rationalize your way out of taking action. Without much effort, you can think of plenty of good, believable reasons for not making the effort.

At some point, though, you must ask yourself this question. Do you want your life to be filled with excuses or with accomplishment?

In fact, each time you catch yourself thinking up an excuse or rationalization, ask yourself that question. Challenge yourself to consciously choose whether or not you wish to accomplish.

When you force yourself to look at it that way, the excuses will begin to look pretty silly and useless. The more you remind yourself of the value of accomplishment, the more you will take action instead of making up excuses.

And the more you take action, the more you will achieve.

Focus now

Right now you have available to you everything you need to take one step forward. Once you take that step, you will have even more available to you to keep going.

The more persistently you move forward, step by step, the more momentum you build. And it is a process that you can begin at any time.

Focus on the one step that you can take right now. Let go of all regrets and resentment about what has already happened.

Let go of all fears and anxieties about what may be yet to come. Put your energy into where you are, and use that energy to do what you can in this moment.

Though there may be noise and confusion all around, you can transcend all those distractions. Decide to focus on the task at hand, for that is what will move you forward.

Think of how great it feels to be moving in a positive, productive direction. Focus your energy right now and make it happen.

Wholeness

Do something positive and valuable in one area of your life, and every other part of your life will benefit from it. The joy you create and experience in one setting will go with you into other situations.

By the same token, any negativity in one part of your life will exert unfavorable influence on other parts of your life. Everything that is a part of you is a part of all of you.

When you work to improve your skill at one task, it brings added confidence to all other tasks that you undertake. When you nurture a true sense of peace in your home life, your life at work becomes more calm and peaceful as well.

No single part of you can be separated from the wholeness of who you are. Each thought, each action, each feeling is connected to all others.

Your health, your career, your family, your faith, your learning, your interests and enjoyments are all intertwined with each other. And as such, you always have countless specific opportunities to nurture and lift up the whole of your life.

Give your very best to each and every aspect of your life. An abiding sense of excellence and integrity will add much to the whole of your world.

Inner value

When you set for yourself an outer goal, be sure to also create an inner goal. Fully become, within yourself, the person who can reach that goal in the outside world, and you will.

When you feel the need to change others, seek instead to change yourself. Meet people where they are, with true understanding and acceptance, and the relationships you build will bear sweet fruit.

The person you are on the inside determines all the things you become on the outside. Nurture your inner life, and your whole world will prosper.

The solid physical reality of your life is built upon the quality of your innermost thoughts and feelings. Use every opportunity to give power and positive purpose to those thoughts, and every corner of your life will benefit.

In each moment, in every situation, seek to build lasting, genuine value on the inside. And that value will quickly spread outward from you, as far as you can see.

What you make it

You can speculate and guess and theorize and envision, and all those things have their place. Yet you will not know for sure what you can and cannot do until you step forward and make the effort.

There are many things that might go wrong, and many obstacles you likely did not anticipate. Yet you must not allow the possibility of those problems to stop you before you even get started.

When something comes up that you didn't plan for, you can learn from it and make adjustments. When a difficult challenge arises, that challenge brings with it the opportunity for even greater value when you choose to persevere.

Everything that is easy and guaranteed to succeed has already been done. Real accomplishment comes from doing the things that no one else thinks you can do.

Lift your eyes up and see the objective at the end of the path. Then lift your feet up, one after the other, and take the first few steps along that path.

Accomplishment is not what is reasonable or practical or certain or without controversy. Accomplishment is precisely what you decide to make it.

The First Minute

Are you way too busy to get something done? Then go ahead and do it as soon as you can.

Waiting until the last minute never makes the task any easier, and it always makes the work more stressful. Going ahead and doing it at the first minute, as soon as you know it must be done, can save you an enormous amount of time and energy.

Because when you go ahead and do what must be done, you don't have to waste a lot of time worrying about it and wondering how you will ever find the time. Putting something off in order to save time really ends up costing much more time.

So the next time you're tempted to wait until the last minute because of time pressures, think of what you would be doing. You would, in fact, be making things worse.

Instead of putting something off until the last minute, put it on your schedule the very first minute possible. Then go ahead and get it done.

The time you save will enable you to get much more done. The peace of mind you gain will be priceless.

Tim favorit aku di EPL, Manchester United berhasil mengalahkan Chelsea. Gol semata wayang nya Darren Flecther yang tidak di-duga2x oleh Petr Chec masuk ke dalam gawang Chelsea. Rekor tak terkalahkan di EPL musim ini bagi Chelsea terpatahkan oleh Manchester United di Old Trafford.

Padahal di Champion, MU baru saja kalah dari Lille. Selamat buat MU. Jadi gak sia2x nih nonton sampai pagi.

Grow into the challenges

When a new challenge arises, you might think that you need to first acquire some new skill or knowledge or resource in order to deal with that challenge. Yet in every case, you can begin with something you already have, and then steadily grow into the challenge.

Along the way you will most certainly acquire new skills, develop new knowledge, gain access to new resources. That is a big part of the value of challenge.

Yet the best starting point is where you are. The sooner you begin, the sooner you will grow strong enough to move successfully through whatever challenge you face.

There is a path that leads directly to the most positive outcome you can imagine. And the first step on that path is right in front of you.

No matter how imposing the challenge, no matter how ambitious the goal, you have what is necessary to take the first step. And once you're on your way, you'll find and develop what you need to continue.

Move confidently forward in the direction you know you must go. Start with what you have, and you'll grow into whatever you need.
