Do it anyway

Achievement most often takes place under conditions that are less than ideal. Just because there is some problem or difficulty or shortcoming in your life at the moment, it does not prevent you from moving forward.

Focus not on what is missing or what is wrong. Focus on doing your very best within the circumstances as they are.

Seek not to find an excuse. Instead, do what you have chosen to do, create what you have chosen to create, live as you have chosen to live, no matter what.

If you wait until conditions are perfect, you'll spend most of your time waiting. You'll be far better off when you go ahead and put that time to effective and productive use.

There may be plenty of reasonable excuses for not moving forward. Go ahead and do it anyway.

Sure, it would be great if some things were a little different, yet the reality is that conditions are as they are. Do it anyway, for that is the way it will get done.

Set a shining example

Teman-teman kecil baru

Hari rabu kemarin saya ada tugas untuk mengambil beberapa gambar dari anak-anak sekolah di daerah jakarta utara (2 sekolah) dan jakarta barat (1 sekolah).

Seru bertemu dengan teman-teman kecil baru. Di sekolah pertama saya disapa "bang" sama mereka, setelah diambil gambarnya mereka bilang "bang lihat dong fotonya" :)

Di sekolah berikutnya, saya bahkan berkunjung langsung ke rumah mereka... Jalan kaki dari sekolahnya dan mampir di rumah mereka yang dekat terminal bis tanjung priok...

Selanjutnya berkunjung ke salah satu sekolah yang "mayoritas" yang sekolah disitu warga keturunan... seru juga...

Nah, semua anak-anak itu kalau lihat saya sudah pegang kamera... mereka langsung aja bilang "om fotoin kita dong"... ya, ya sabar ya...

Setelah sekian lama berada di host server Equivity... sekarang vikingkarwur.com berada di host server baru per januari 2006 dan lagi vikingkarwur.com telah terinstall MT versi terakhir...

Rencana nya sebelum cssreboot edisi mei 2007 saya akan launch "complete-realign" dari website vikingkarwur.com ini...

Baru nge-blog di m3-access title "sidenode freelance web designer" - berisikan yang berhubungan dengan dunia freelancer khususnya web design... Sekilas UI nya blog M3 access mirip sama UI MT

New possibilities

A new year is here. It's a great opportunity to re-examine your assumptions, and to get rid of the ones that no longer make any sense.

Assumptions can be very useful because they free you from having to think through every little detail. Assumptions are a practical way to make positive use of your extensive past experience.

Remember, though, that change is a constant part of life. People change, conditions change, the world changes, and all those changes can quickly make your assumptions obsolete.

Outdated assumptions can keep you stuck when there's really no reason for you to be stuck. Outdated assumptions can prevent you from connecting with good and valuable things that are easily within your reach.

As you go through each day, make note of the assumptions you rely upon. Select a few of those assumptions and seriously challenge them.

You'll find limitations you thought you had that are no longer there, and opportunities you never knew about that are now open to you. As the new year begins, free yourself from outdated assumptions, and you'll find all sorts of new possibilities popping into view.
