Glorians 18 : Ocean 13

Glorians nya ada 18 orang - 1 movie nya "Ocean 13"... iya kemarin di Plaza Semanggi 21 studio 2 anak-anak Gloria nonton bareng (nomat sekalian biar murah)... seru deh... selain film nya keren, Glorians 18 nya juga seru...

About The Film
John Newton (played by Albert Finney in Amazing Grace) wrote the words to one of the most beloved hymns of all time between 1760 and 1770, while working as an evangelical pastor. Son of the commander of a merchant ship, Newton was captain of a slave ship for many years, until he underwent a dramatic religious conversion while steering his vessel through a storm.

Repenting and regretting the misery he had inflicted on the thousands of human cargo he had transported across the Middle Passage for many years, he devoted his life to the Church, and wrote the lyrics to many hymns which are still popular today.

In 1780 Newton left Olney to become rector of St. Mary Woolnoth, St. Mary Woolchurch, in London. There he drew large congregations and influenced many, among them William Wilberforce. Newton continued to preach until the last year of life, although he was blind by that time. He died in London December 21, 1807.

Controversial United 93 Stirs Search

New York's AMC Lowes movie theater at Lincoln Square yanked it. But the trailer for the film "United 93" continues to play at a few thousand theaters across the country — and generate a tremendous amount of buzz online. The movie, which depicts the September 11 United Airlines flight that crashed in a Pennsylvania field, premieres April 28 at The Tribeca Film Festival. Both the film (+1,665%) and its trailer (off the charts) have soared into Buzz's top movers over the past week.

Most of that online interest is coming from places other than New York City or Washington, D.C., where the hijacked plane was headed. The N.Y. Daily News thinks this may be "too much, too soon" for some New Yorkers, and it looks like residents of the nation's capital may feel rushed, as well. While Rochester, Boston, and St. Louis top the group of metros seeking the film in Search, New York City registers a scant #12 on the list and D.C. comes in at #19.

Meanwhile, searches for "flight 93" and "flight 93 trailer" more than doubled yesterday. People may be looking for the actual flight, or seeking the January made-for-TV movie from A&E. But our hunch is that the two films have gotten mixed up in peoples' minds (understandably). Things might get more confusing still as Hollywood's roster of 9/11 movies fills out in upcoming months. Notable among them is an August release titled "World Trade Center" from, oh dear, Oliver Stone.

* di Bioskop: Jomblo! - Lucu banget filmnya
* di DVD : The Great Raid - Film penyelamatan POW di Filipina. Keren dan seru.
* di TV : Charlie Angels - Kalau ini gak komen ah... Re-run melulu.

Fantastic Four

Kemarin, hari minggu saya nonton film "Fantastic Four" di Kelapa Gading XII 21 Cineplex. Film ini bagus banget! Coba lihat sisi manusiawinya si "The Thing" ketika mencoba mengambil cincin kawin yang di lepaskan istrinya di jalan; karena tangannya besar banget (ber jari2x hanya 4), The Thing gak bisa mengambil cincin itu --- Mr. Fantastic mengambilkan Cincin nya kemudian ("The Thing" di tinggal istrinya karena tahu penampilan nya sudah 'berubah' ketika kena sinar kosmik) dan juga hanya The Thing yang gak bisa balik seperti semua. Wow...

Bisa kita lihat juga si "Human Torch" yang sok belagu ;) dan si "Invisible Women" (Jesica Alba) yang wuih seksi banget... Nah, film ini "recommended" banget deh untuk di tonton... Seru.

Kungfu Hustle

Plot : "In Canton, China in the 1940s, a wannabe gangster aspires to join the notorious "Axe Gang" while an obnoxious landlady and her apparently frail husband exhibit extraordinary powers in defending their turf."

Film ini kemarin aku tonton sama Frans, Linggom, Joshua & Monchi di Plaza Semanggi... Wah lucu banget... banget... Mulai sampai selesai bisa "ngakak" terus... Hebat juga tuh Stephen Chow, tapi perhatiin deh ada beberapa adegan "niru" / plesetan dari mis : Spiderman, Roadrunner, dll

King Arthur

Kemarin aku nonton film "King Arthur" di Semanggi 21, film nya bagus banget deh... baru tahu loh kalau Arthur / Artorius adalah panglima romawi yang di tugaskan di daerah jajahan di Britain (last outpost).
Round Table : The Knights (Lancelot, Galahad, Bors, Tristam, Gawain, Dogonet... Guinevere) nya hebat-hebat ada yang jago panah, ada yang jago axe, ada yang piara burung elang, ada juga Lancelot (orang samartia) dan Guivenere (satu bangsa dengan Merlin). Arthur membawa pedang "Excalibur" warisan Ayahnya.

Kalau suka film macam LOTR, pasti suka dengan film ini. Kepahlawanan dan keberanian ada di sini... kata Lancelot "Rus" (artinya hidup)

TPoTC di 21 Cineplex

Sudah pada nonton lagi ngak, The Passion of The Christ di Bioskop-bioskop 21 di Jakarta. Saya pengen nonton lagi, soalnya terakhir nonton itu versi DVDnya yang gambarnya kurang terang. Katanya Bro' Rohadi Sutisna : banyak yang pada nangis waktu nonton di bioskop.
